Denia is a large city that lies about 5 miles north of Javea and runs along a fantastic, winding road right next to the Montgo Mountains. Denia is a classic and fascinating old city that is filled with different restaurants, hotels, tours, and beaches. People who are often taking holidays will visit this city. Many of the beaches stretch for miles along the coast. After arriving from Javea, you will see a magnificent beach and marina with a backdrop of lovely apartment complexes. These apartment complexes are not very uncommon to see, since they are the main areas of tourist accommodation.

Many of these eateries offer outdoor seating which is comfortably shaded by trees. The streets surrounding Marques de Campo offer many shops and stores for tourists and city people alike.
This magnificent city is home to a 12th century castle that can be found on Rocky Crag which overlooks the city. A train that runs specifically to take tourists to this castle can be found within the city. This castle, along with overlooking the city, also has spectacular views that overlook the sea and beaches. Within the castle is a museum which can offer a days worth of artistic entertainment for anyone looking to further their knowledge of the city. Tours of the castle are available, along with tours for the rest of the city.
If you're interested in sightseeing, you should head up to the town hall and city church. Both of these buildings have beautiful features and historical stories. If you visit the castle, be sure to walk around the base of it, since many of the homes there have been painted in different colors and which lend to the historical and amazing atmosphere of the area. If you are looking for more things to see and travel to, take a ride to El Port. El Port consists of a line of eateries, cafe's, and bistro's. Most of these restaurants specialize in rice dishes that are native to the area. Another dish to try is the paella. Paella consists of pasta with either seafood or meat and is a delectable dish. As with all other cities that contain them, the beaches in this area are the main tourist attraction. Many tourist's will spend their days lounging along the vast array of sandy beaches. The water is cool, clean, and blue, which is perfect for swimming and enjoying a splendid day out. Other attractions such as golf, shopping, and museums are available all throughout the city. The nighlife in the city is as alive as it has ever been. Cafe's, night clubs, and bars can be found all around the vast city. The center of the city is home to many of the nighlife accommodations available. There are festivals held around the city as well, depending on the time you choose to visit. The popular bonfire festival is held every March. During this festival, large paper mache statues are set ablaze all throughout the the city. It can be rather fun and entertaining when visiting the city around the time of this festival. There are also several festivals held during the summer months.
